“A ruin made into a dream home”

History. A fruitful countryside and an old house that slowly was falling onto itself. This is the scenario we found several years ago. A ruin that told an important story that we wanted to recall at first, and then rewrite without forgetting its story (discover the history of the house).

Welcome to our B&B! A house surrounded by nature amongst orange, lemon and mandarin groves, a few minutes away from the closest beach (only 3 minutes) and a stone’s throw from the town of Teulada. An oasis where the scent of the sea and the smell of the countryside mingles together creating a unique atmosphere.

The B&B: the house

The B&B rises from the reconstruction of an old ruin. It represents the combination between tradition and innovation blending comfort of our time to the components of the homes of the past.

What is maintained here is the charm of the heritage of an ancient home: ceilings made up of wooden beams, Sardinian window sills, doors and windows made by master craftsmen and a roof made of ancient Sardinian tiles.
The stone walls have all been restored by Roberto himself – the owner – becoming the real added value of this house. He has also made numerous pieces of furniture with natural material, such as tables, chairs, benches, bedside tables, as well as lamps and mirrors. (discover the rooms >)

The Rooms

The double-bedded rooms are simple as the typical Sardinian-Mediterranean style wants it. They are all equipped with all comforts, large and well-lit. Each uniquely, furnished room has many small details making it exclusive

(The cottage among the lemons)

After a one year renovation, our small detached cottage is finally available. It is made up of a double bedroom in the typical “Giallo Limone” (Yellow Lemon) style, a bathroom, a private verandah, a picturesque kitchenette in the verandah under a breathtaking roof.

Who

A sailor meets a woman with a strong passion for nature and animals, and together they decide to build a small piece of heaven to share with whoever is looking for a little relax in a special place.
This is in a nutshell our story…

Roberto, a sailor from Teulada, has been working traditionally with hospitality at sea. For over 25 years he has been cruising with his sailing ship along the South Sardinian coast in turquoise-colored bays and beaches accessible only by boat.

Renata, Sardinian by adoption, after having worked for 25 years with racehorses, lands in Sardinia where she meets Roberto and a land that soon would become her new home.

It has been many years since that very first day, and Giallo Limone is proof that the encounter at sea would find strong walls fit to host new friends among the perfume of the sea and the citrus fruits.
